Pre stay messaging and arrival arrangements including an airport transfer were efficient. The hotel promotes many boat tours. Staff are all welcoming and helpful. The welcome drink and instructions to make the tea again at breakfast were appreciated. Thank you also to the chef for my surprise birthday cake! The garden cottages were very comfortable, well maintained with expansive bathrooms. We used the mosquito net because there were mosquitoes in the room on arrival. The cleaners sprayed the room daily after that on our request. The towel origami was appreciated. The resort is peaceful and relaxing with signs requesting quiet voices and no music at the pool. There are sufficient sun beds. If you book this hotel respect the rules; some guests didn’t. We were pleased that smoking areas were separate and not poolside. The poolside bar serves fresh coconuts and great smoothies with various lunch options. The breakfast is served on decking by the lake watching the carp and resident water monitor surfacing occasionally. The hand washing station on arrival sets appropriate expectations for guests. There is a continental buffet, Thai and European selections. In addition there is an a la carte menu to choose eggs, French toast, pancakes etc. Breakfast was calm and unhurried. There are sufficient staff serving and two coffee machines so no lengthy queuing. The grounds are manicured and lush. The gardeners work hard. The hotel could market this asset more by labelling names and uses of plants on their site. There are plentiful supplies of water in the room; a BYO alcohol policy on site. Again guests are respectful and discrete. This is not a party zone; it’s a hotel for those who want to relax in a low rise garden setting amidst the karsts. The pool facing view is impressive. The shuttle to Ao Nang beach is useful. We preferred local Thai food within a 15 minutes walk of the resort. ( 11/1, Jungle, Mamas Kitchen).

We stayed at this resort recently and it definitely met all our expectations. The location was fantastic, very remote feeling, so it was super peaceful, quiet and just pure bliss. The view with the cliffs being right in your face couldn’t be complimented enough. We were still very close to everything we needed nonetheless. A short walk gets you to the restaurants and shops and then a little further down was the beach. Even if you don’t feel like walking, the hotel had really timely and convenient shuttle services. The room (we opted for Jacuzzi suite) was perfect. Cosy, comfortable and a nice added bonus of a tv that worked with our devices. We tried the room service and definitely recommend it, from Thai to more western dishes, they had it all and it tasted really good. Beef fried rice was a real winner as was the purple pea/lime juice. As Muslims, we didn’t struggle in the slightest either. The entire resort is halal friendly, halal food and no pork or alcohol on site. Overall a wonderful experience and cannot recommend highly enough for anyone looking for something cosy, serene, inclusive and super comfortable with a very nice aesthetic touch.

We had such an amazing stay here! We had a cottage room by the pond and the staff had kindly accommodated our request for a cliffside view. Despite a bit of construction going on (which we were pre-warned about) it was still such a peaceful oasis, just a short tuktuk away from busy Ao Nang. The staff were amazing - always available to help, drive us in buggies to reception when it rained and ready and waiting to help coordinate pickup for the tours we'd arranged. Breakfast was also delicious (I could have lived on those pineapple pancakes!) with plenty of choice. We also ordered room service several times because it was the tastiest home cooked food that was even better than where we tried in town! Safe to say we were sad to leave but eager to book here again! Thank you to all the Ban Sainai staff who made our stay so special

We had an exceptionally pleasant stay, with attentive and friendly staff who made sure we were well cared for. The rooms are spacious, featuring mosquito nets and efficient air-conditioning, with large bathrooms that include both a roomy shower and a jacuzzi bath. Housekeeping is excellent, keeping everything spotless and well-stocked. The hotel boasts a large swimming pool, and the staff even took the initiative to inflate the kids’ floaties, which was a thoughtful touch. The property offers beautiful views, with lush greenery and dramatic mountains as the backdrop. The location is also ideal, within walking distance of restaurants, bars, and a 7-Eleven. During the low season, the value for money is outstanding.

The hotel is lovely, clean and well maintained with amazing and very well kept gardens. The pool was amazing. The location of the hotel is awesome under a huge limestone cliff!! All the staff, from the reception to the gardeners, are excellent, very helpful and always with a sweet smile!!! Especially one of the three girls working at the reception (Fareeda) is a great professional and adorable person!!! She helped us (me and my husband) with all the issues that may were intended during the 47 days we stayed at the hotel...and it was not a few!! Fareeda thank you so much for everything!!!
